Speech settings and Safari Reader
Start by opening the settings app.
Now tap on „Accessibility“.
Now tap on „Speech“.
Now enable „Speak Screen“.
Now you can change the speed in which text is spoken, by dragging the slider to the left or to the right.
Drag it left to make it slower.
Now you can let your iPad read the text of some apps, by dragging down from the upper border of the screen with two fingers.
Now open Safari to try the speech function.
In Safari, you can open the Reader-Mode on a lot of sites, which just shows you the main content without ads or additional information.
In the Reader-Mode, you can also let the iPad read the text on the screen.
Swipe down with two fingers, to start the speech function.
Now the iPad starts reading the text.
You can exit the speech mode, by tapping the cross.
You can also pause, slow down or speed up the speech.
